Difficulty falling asleep, wakening in the middle of the night, tossing and turning in bed are commonly experienced manifestations of a sleep disorder. Anxiety, depression, stress and other emotional issues are often associated with insomnia. So is poor sleep hygiene. Activities other than sleeping in bed may affect the connection between bed and sleep. Laying in bed worrying or thinking will activate our consciousness which can interfere with falling asleep. Reading with a back lite computer can send our brain a message that it is time to be awake. Developing a good bedtime routine can make a significant difference in our ability to overcome insomnia. It helps to empty your mind as well as your bladder before getting into bed. If you find yourself thinking when you should be sleeping, get out of bed, take some notes about what you have been pondering and get back into bed. What is important is to develop stimulus control between bed and sleep. This direct connection should not be contaminated with other activities in bed.

The PsychoHarmonic Insomnia module you have selected addresses these issues both in the guided imagery narrative and the insomnia specific audio frequencies which are administered. Repeated use increases the conditioning effect.
